Keynote Speaker

Sheila L. Brown, Manager and Principal Owner of Vision Multi Media Group, LLC. She has been a visionary leader, two-time author, and CEO of a qualified Woman Business Enterprise (MWBE) since 2007.

Sheila L. Brown is married to Kenneth Brown, with their three children, Morgan, Barrington, and Blaine. She is a Lifetime member of the Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Starting from the ground up is truly a statement about this CEO. Brown started in 1986 as entry-level sales personnel at the WUFO Radio Station and worked her way up to CEO.

In 2013, after purchasing WUFO Radio Station, Brown fulfilled her longtime dream of owning a broadcasting station, becoming the youngest African-American female in the country to do so.

Using her Radio platform, Brown has been on a roll. She has started several successful annual events that have expanded her reach to the inner-city community, such as the Black Music Month Conference, Annual holiday-themed luncheons, community giveaways, Lunch and Learn, and events to promote women-owned businesses.

In 2014, she proudly received the media award from the Black Achievers. She was a 2019 inductee into the Black Achiever Museum in Buffalo, NY.

In 2017, Brown was recognized by Buffalo Business First newspaper as the largest women-owned business ranked by several local employees and, two years in a row (2019-2020), on the Top 125 Power Women list.

In 2020 she received an Atlanta Radio & Record award. As an author, Sheila has created two new platforms on-air, one for authors: The Author's Academy and The SLB Book review radio program. The other is a live radio Talk Show promoting community voices for business, awareness, or entertainment.

In 2022 Brown was inducted as the first African American into the Buffalo Broadcaster Association 2022. Brown is also the CEO and President of the WUFO Black Radio History Collective, preserving sixty-one years of WUFO's recorded history, past, present, and future. Sheila recently expanded her brand by purchasing her second radio station in Atlanta, Georgia, WIGO Pacesetter 1570am.

Sheila is currently working on her first movie, The Barrington Brown Story.

Outside of working and being a CEO, some of her favorite hobbies are dancing, a good glass of wine, shopping, getting her hair and nails done, hanging out with girlfriends, having Sunday dinner with her husband, and going to church on Sundays. She is a praying woman and a loving wife and mother.
